Cuban president highlights need to coordinate the global left

by Ed Newman

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, has emphasized the need for the left to coordinate its struggles globally in the face of the challenge of fascism.

On his official account on the social media platform X, the president reflected that “the fight against fascism is global. No nation can save itself alone. The left must coordinate its struggles, share experiences, and learn from its victories and mistakes.”

He also highlighted the value of the recently concluded Third International Meeting of Theoretical Left Publications, held in Havana from the 15th to the 17th of this month, with the participation of representatives of progressive parties and movements from more than thirty countries.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel noted that the event has been very beneficial and paves the way for the future.
