Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, highlighted on his Facebook profile the resilience and unity of the Cuban Revolution in the face of adversity.
The Cuban Revolution, forged in decades of resistance and unity in the face of unprecedented adversity, is once again confronting an escalation of the United States government’s coercive policies.
This tightening of the blockade has the strategic objective of strangling the island’s fuel supply. By making supplies more difficult and expensive, and generating fear through blackmail and threats, the aim is to create an internal crisis.
However, the response of the Cuban people and government is not one of surrender, but of meticulous preparation and collective mobilization, demonstrating once again that unity and intelligence are the pillars for moving forward.
Faced with this scenario of extreme pressure, a series of strategic decisions have been implemented to protect the nation’s fundamental achievements.
These actions, prepared in advance, unwaveringly prioritize essential services for the population.
Domestic crude oil production and renewable energy sources are being promoted, and priority is given to water supply, basic health services—with an emphasis on maternal and child health and the Program of Cancer—and the territorial production of food. Furthermore, defense activities are protected.
This comprehensive approach underscores the determination to protect life and national sovereignty above all else.
The path to overcoming this situation and securing the future rests on a structural transformation of the economy, with energy and food sovereignty as its central pillars.
Our government has outlined a plan that extends to all sectors of society, based on popular participation.
Therefore, contrary to the negative predictions that foretold an imminent collapse, Cuba demonstrates once again its capacity for resilience and moral victory.
The Revolution does not get down on its knees; it reinvents itself and grows stronger in adversity.
