The Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (Amexcid) and the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment signed today the Memorandum of Understanding for the second phase of the Sembrando Vida program.

In a message on the social media platform X, the Mexican agency highlighted that this will expand the benefits to more rural communities.  “It is a symbol of what can be achieved when two countries with a historic relationship work together in solidarity and mutual respect,” said Alejandra Del Moral, executive director of Amexcid, visiting Cuba.

According to the institution, this step strengthens the long-standing cooperation with the island as a way to achieve shared prosperity.

Sembrando Vida, a program created by the Mexican government, seeks to contribute to the social well-being of farmers by promoting food self-sufficiency, with actions that simultaneously promote environmental recovery.
