Book on Marco Rubio’s pretensions toward Cuba launched in Havana

Launching of book on Marco Rubio in Havana.

A look at the political and moral anatomy of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was presented in the pages of the book “Rubio: an Uncontrollable Mythomaniac,” presented in the Cuban capital.

The book, by journalist and writer Hedelberto López, was published by the magazine Resumen Latinoamericano and the publishing houses Ciencias Sociales and Nuevo Milenio.

In the opinion of Hero of the Republic René González, this text presents a rigorous portrait of Rubio, especially his role as corruptor of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) funds.  González, who also wrote the book’s prologue, noted that it accurately captures “the evolution, over the years, of the groups that, one after another, took up the banner of the counterrevolution, always in lockstep with U.S. policy against Cuba.”

The Hero of the Republic described Rubio as the heir to terrorists who have perpetrated attacks against the Caribbean nation, “and therefore, it is not surprising that, like them, he operates in drug trafficking, fraud and politicking.”

For his part, the author of the work specified that this is the result of an investigation that follows other books he has written, such as “Miami, Dirty Money.”

Hedelberto López described the U.S. secretary of state as “a product of U.S. policy that, even before the triumph of the Revolution, has sought to undermine the rights of sovereignty and self-determination of the people.”
