The 11th Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) will convene on December 12th and 13th to analyze important issues concerning the nation’s socioeconomic and political life, the Granma newspaper reported.
The meeting will evaluate the implementation of the Government Program to correct distortions and revitalize the economy, which has been under study and debate from November 15th to December 30th.
It will also analyze the economic objectives and goals for 2026 and the proposed State Budget for next year.
According to the PCC’s official publication, the members of the Central Committee will also discuss the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa and the progress of recovery efforts in the eastern provinces, as well as the situation regarding the effects of previous natural disasters.
As has been customary at these meetings, the Political Bureau will report on its work and announce the main decisions made during this stage, amidst the organizational process for the IX Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, the statement specified.
This meeting is scheduled to take place from April 16 to 19, 2026, the year in which the centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz will be celebrated.
