Havana, March 2 (RHC) – Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will undergo a series of medical tests to determine the extent of the injury he suffered last Saturday in the Saudi Arabian football league.
Portugal is on edge over Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese footballer suffered an injury this weekend while playing for Al Nassr, and there are fears it could be serious enough to jeopardize his participation in the World Cup, reports the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
According to Al Nassr coach Jorge Jesus, “Ronaldo suffered muscle fatigue, and the medical staff will urgently carry out the necessary tests to determine his condition.”
With just over three months to go before the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, an undisputed starter for the current Portuguese national team, has raised serious concerns.
It’s worth remembering that, at 41 years old, the legendary Real Madrid player, known as Mr. Champions, will be trying to reach his sixth World Cup, and he is also chasing the milestone of 1,000 career goals (he currently has 965).
