Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez criticized the United States government on Tuesday for skipping the Universal Periodic Review at the Human Rights Council.
“The US government’s decision to be absent from its Universal Periodic Review presentation at the Human Rights Council reaffirms its arrogant behavior toward multilateralism and the United Nations system,” stated the head of Cuban diplomacy.
In a message on social media, he also asserted that this decision demonstrates the White House’s “impotence.”
“It reveals its double standards, contempt, and lack of commitment and cooperation with human rights mechanisms,” the Cuban Foreign Minister emphasized.
