Cuba thanks the people of Russia for their solidarity

The Cuban Foreign Ministry has thanked the people and government of Russia for their solidarity, demonstrated by the arrival of a Russian oil tanker to the island.

“This valuable aid arrives amidst the energy blockade imposed by the United States, which is attempting to suffocate the Cuban population,” the Foreign Ministry stated on its social media profile.

It also echoed the words of Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president, who expressed that it is Russia’s duty not to remain on the sidelines and to provide the necessary assistance to the Cuban people.
