Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has denounced that statements by the United States government in Europe are an attempt to create confusion by denying the existence of a fuel supply blockade against Cuba.
“They are shamelessly lying and contradicting their own statements, executive orders, and actions,” the head of Cuban diplomacy stated on the social media platform X.
Rodríguez specified that it is enough to read the Executive Order of January 29 and subsequent regulations from the Treasury Department to prove that a brutal fuel supply blockade is being applied as a way to expand and increase the collective punishment of Cubans.
The Cuban foreign minister pointed out that this blockade includes threats of sanctions against third countries and foreign companies, as well as hostile acts against tankers.
“THEY ARE LYING,” concluded the top diplomat, rejecting the statements made by the U.S. administration.
