The Cuban Medical Brigade in Venezuela confirmed that its personnel are out of danger following the attacks that occurred early Saturday morning against several areas of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and are continuing their healthcare work.

The head of the mission, Dr. Yuleyvis Martínez Carmona, stated in declarations to Cuban journalist Raúl Rodríguez Peña, broadcast on a television newscast, that all healthcare professionals are in good condition and remain under protection, while the health infrastructure remains fully operational.

Martínez Carmona specified that the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers, the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centers, and the community medical clinics were not damaged, so healthcare services remain guaranteed.

The impacts were recorded in the states of Miranda, La Guaira, the Capital District, and an area of Aragua, while in the rest of the country, life continues as normal and the medical personnel have resumed their work.

The director highlighted the brigade’s discipline, which strictly adhered to established safety protocols, thus preserving the well-being of the professionals and ensuring the continuity of medical care.

According to the head of mission, most of the medical personnel have maintained communication with their families in Cuba, conveying reassurance and confirming that they are safe.

Authorities from the Cuban Ministry of Public Health held direct exchanges with the professionals in Venezuela, which helped to boost morale and ensure confidence in the mission’s success.

The Cuban medical brigade, present in all 24 states of the South American country, reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting the Venezuelan people in public health efforts.
