Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, led today, at the Anti-Imperialist Tribune in Havana, a rally denouncing the U.S. attacks against Venezuela, carried out during the early hours of this Saturday.
Participating in this act of condemnation were members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the PCC: Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power; Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister; and Salvador Valdés Mesa, Vice President of the Republic. Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, among others.
Also present were PCC officials, representatives of the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the Venezuelan diplomatic corps accredited to the country, various political and mass organizations, and other bodies, as well as the general public.
The residents of Havana, representing the Caribbean nation, gathered to offer their support to the Venezuelan people and to reject, once again, the hostile policies pursued by the United States government against Latin America and the Caribbean.
In the early hours of January 3, the Bolivarian State reported the U.S. military aggression carried out in civilian and military areas of Caracas, the capital of the Republic, and the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.
In response, the forces and population of that country have mobilized to defend their national sovereignty.
