Cubans residing in Venezuela express gratitude for aid to the island

The Association of Cubans Residing in Venezuela (Accreven) expressed its gratitude to health institutions, the Venezuelan people, and the Carabobo chapter of the Movement of Friendship and Mutual Solidarity for the aid that will be sent to Cuba, it was reported in Caracas.

Accreven’s national president, Orelvis Reyes, highlighted this “tremendous effort” at the national level in a message posted on social media.

Reyes stated that they received this donation, destined for the homeland of Fidel Castro, Hugo Chávez, Simón Bolívar, and José Martí, with “tremendous love and affection.” He also acknowledged the solidarity of all Cubans residing in the Bolivarian Republic.

An executive from the Centro Médico Mi Salud clinic in Carabobo declared that they were making “a donation to our second homeland.”

He asserted that a bridge exists between Cuba and Venezuela that “no one will destroy, and we are certain that the Cuban people, with the support of Venezuela and the entire world, will continue to move forward.”

A representative of Accreven in the state of Carabobo (northwest), for his part, expressed “eternal and permanent” gratitude to the Venezuelan people who, through institutions, social and political organizations, provide unwavering support to the island.

He recalled that Cuba and its people have been present in Venezuela for many years, offering their support and solidarity, and “now it is up to the Venezuelan people” to reciprocate.

Flor Elisa Pérez, coordinator of the Carabobo chapter of the Venezuela-Cuba Friendship and Mutual Solidarity Movement, thanked all the people and institutions that showed solidarity with the “beautiful Cuban people” through this collection of medicines and medical supplies.

The state of Carabobo stepped forward and made its presence felt at this time to provide this solidarity aid, as the Cuban people are experiencing “the most relentless, atrocious, and genocidal act, if we want to call it that, being committed by US President Donald Trump against the Caribbean nation,” she stated.

This solidarity aid was carried out within the context of the “Love is Repaid with Love” campaign, promoted by the Friendship and Mutual Solidarity Movement throughout the country. According to Pérez, the campaign collected seven thousand items in Carabobo state and will continue in the coming days.
