Documentary film “Todos Somos Gaza” scheduled for release next month in Spain

by Ed Newman

“Todos Somos Gaza” is an independent documentary directed by Hernán Zin and produced by Doc Land Films.   On Monday, it was announced that the documentary is scheduled for release in Spain in January 2026.

According to a press release issued in Madrid, “Todos Somos Gaza” is not just a documentary. It is a cry of humanity in the face of horror. It is a mirror that shows us, in real time, the tragedy of a massacred people while the world looks on in silence. Every image we see on our phones — murdered children, families buried under rubble, hunger and fire — strikes at our souls. And leaves us trapped in a pain that is no longer just theirs… it is ours.

The film was made under threats, remotely, and in extreme conditions, with a single objective: to show the world what many want to hide.    This documentary comes from the heart, from the need to remember, to not look away.  There are no graphic images. No political noise. Only a space for reflection, for deep empathy.  A place to begin healing, as individuals and as a society, from the trauma we share.

Todos Somos Gaza also reveals what few dare to speak of: the use of artificial intelligence to select and kill civilians. Programs that decide who lives and who dies, with a coldness as devastating as it is unpunished.   All documented, all real.

And even more than that, it is a reflection on the world we live in: unequal, anesthetized, manipulated by information overload and the silence of those who should speak out. Today, the violence in Gaza is also a symbol of a system that allows a few to accumulate power and wealth, while millions suffer.

A documentary project directed by Hernán Zin and produced by Doc Land Films. Selective funding for feature film production from the ICAA (Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts).

Since November 2023, Hernán Zin, along with a large team of Palestinian journalists, has been documenting every massacre, every human rights violation perpetrated in Gaza. A unique historical document. In addition to searching for the protagonists of the first documentary, questions arose: What has become of them? Where are they? These are questions that hundreds of thousands of people who have already seen Born in Gaza began to ask on social media. But not only that, the director intends for his film to go further, hence the motto: “We are all Gaza.”

In 2014, Hernán Zin premiered the documentary “Nacido in Gaza” (“Born in Gaza”), a historical document that portrayed the lives of 10 children during the Israeli offensive on Gaza. From the moment of its release, it was an international success with both audiences and critics and became one of the most important audiovisual testimonies about the genocide.

Ten years later, a team of courageous Palestinian reporters, along with Hernán Zin (who reported remotely, as the press is not allowed access to Gaza), were able to reunite with those children (now teenagers or adults) and document what has been happening since October 7, 2023: a systematic attack against the Palestinian civilian population.  This time, under the title “Todos Somos Gaza” (“We Are All Gaza”), the story is not limited to the lives of these ten individuals but addresses the reality of an entire people under siege.

The film, nominated for the Forqué Award for Best Documentary Feature, is scheduled for release in Spanish theaters in January 2026.

“This is a live genocide carried out with AI, a weapon of mass destruction that has all the information on the Gazans and executes 200 targets a day, automating the killing of Palestinians.” “The film will explain everything, including the dehumanizing automation of the annihilation processes, because it is our future,” Hernán Zin said.

The documentary’s original song, a Goya Award nominee, features artists such as Rozalén, Marwán, Porta, Ambkor, and El Chojin. Directed by composer Carlos M. Jara and produced by Soma, the artists came together for the cause, creating a new anthem for all those who stand against barbarity.

Other artists, such as Pepe Viyuela, Cecilia Gessa, Gorka Otxoa, and Nerea Barros, joined in for the music video, which, along with the song, is now available on streaming platforms and YouTube. Activists from all over Spain also participated in the song and its accompanying video, which includes excerpts from the documentary.  The video also features the Mad4strings orchestra and the Madrid Philharmonic Choir.
