U.S. blockade

Havana, August 29 (RHC)– Cuba’s Foreign Ministry has denounced that the U.S. government’s blockade recently caused serious damage to Cuba’s tourism industry.

Through a message on X, the Ministry released two figures that illustrate the negative impact of the White House’s hostility on that sector during the 2023-2024 period.

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s official social media account, due to this U.S. policy, more than 1,336,545 people from the northern nation did not visit the country. The complaint details that, had they traveled to Cuban territory, they would have brought in “one billion 730,825,775 dollars from the U.S. market.”
