Havana, October 29 (RHC) – Inter Milan returned to winning ways in the Italian football league today, with a 3-0 victory over Fiorentina in the ninth round.
At the San Siro stadium, Turkish striker Hakan Calhanoglu opened the scoring with a long-range shot that surprised Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea in the 66th minute. Croatian Petar Sucic then doubled the lead, putting on a brilliant display of dribbling to evade four defenders before finishing in the 71st minute.
Late in the game (88th minute), Calhanoglu scored his second goal of the match, converting a penalty against a historic club now relegated to 19th place and still without a win in Serie A.
Bologna, sixth in the table, could only manage a goalless draw against Torino (11th), while Cremonese (eighth) moved into contention for European places after a 2-0 victory over bottom-placed Genoa, thanks to a brace from Federico Bonazzoli (4th and 49th minutes).
