Mexicans demand an end to U.S. pressure on Cuba

by Ed Newman

Dozens of protesters gathered at the former US embassy in Mexico City over the weekend to condemn the imposition of tariffs on countries that supply oil to Cuba. They also demanded that Claudia Sheinbaum’s government continue providing humanitarian aid to Cuba.

The mobilization was called by the Mexican Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, which denounced Washington’s decision to sanction support for the island as a violation of international law.
