MINREX workers honored for their contribution to the Federation of Cuban Women

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, highlighted the awarding of the August 23 Distinction and the 65th anniversary seal of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) to female workers at the Foreign Ministry.

A post on the official website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) reaffirms that this recognition is due to their professional performance and contribution to strengthening the women’s organization.

The note highlights that the ceremony was presided over by Rodríguez Parrilla, along with Teresa Amarelle Boué, also a member of the Political Bureau and secretary general of the FMC.

According to sources, the recipients of the August 23rd Distinction include Norma Miguelina Goicochea Estenoz, Ana Teresita González Fraga, Johana Tablada de la Torre, and Ramona Durruthy Martínez.

Also receiving the 65th anniversary commemorative stamp were: Olimpia Vasconcelos Puerto, Amalia Javier Marante, Loraine Cárdenas Capó, Yamaris Pérez Viera, Milagros Gutiérrez Fonseca, and Lourdes Marrero Oro.

During the ceremony, the role of women in revolutionary diplomacy and their contribution to achieving Cuban foreign policy objectives was highlighted, while tribute was paid to female figures who have made exceptional contributions to women’s empowerment in the institutional sphere.

The event included an exchange between the FMC Secretary General and the MINREX Gender Committee, reaffirming their shared commitment to equity, active participation, and the historical legacy of the organization founded by Vilma Espín.
