Havana, September 24 (RHC) – Today, Cuban pitcher Liván Moinelo earned his 12th win of the current season in the Japanese Baseball League.
Moinelo allowed just one run and four hits in seven innings, striking out six against the Rakuten Eagles.
He received strong offensive support from his teammates as the SoftBank Hawks triumphed eight runs to three, confirming their lead in the Pacific League with 81 wins and 51 losses.
Personally, he lowered his ERA per nine innings to 1.46, leading that important division in Japanese baseball.
He also climbed to second place in wins, two behind the leader, and also to second in strikeouts, with 172, 11 behind the current leader. He is having one of his best seasons in the Land of the Rising Sun.
