Havana, February 8 (RHC) – Norway leads the medal table at the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina 2026 with three titles, after the second day of medal presentations concluded today.

On Sunday, the Scandinavians secured two gold medals: Johannes Klaebo’s sixth Olympic gold in the cross-country skiing 10km + 10km event, and Sander Eitrem’s victory in the men’s 5,000 meters in speed skating.

The United States also won two titles, moving into second place in the medal standings, thanks to Breeze Johnson’s gold in the alpine skiing downhill and their figure skaters’ gold in the team event.

The host country remains third, having not won any gold medals today, ahead of Japan and Austria.

Norway has topped the medal table at the last three Winter Olympic Games: Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018, and Beijing 2022.
