Havana, 25 January (RHC) – The schedule for the 2026 Gran Caracas Americas Series, which will be played from February 5 to 13 with seven participating teams, was announced in Caracas.
The tournament’s Organizing Committee, along with the Baseball Association of the Americas (ABAM), has approved the schedule for the competition that will bring together Panama, Nicaragua, Curaçao, Colombia, Cuba, Argentina, and host Venezuela in two stadiums where baseball is a sacred ritual: the Monumental Simón Bolívar in La Rinconada and the Jorge Luis García Carneiro in Macuto.
The first bell will ring on Thursday, February 5, with a tripleheader. Argentina and Curaçao will open the day in La Rinconada (1:30 p.m. local time), followed by Nicaragua and Colombia in Macuto (4:30 p.m.), and, as the main event, Venezuela will debut against Panama as night falls over Caracas (7:30 p.m.).
This initial phase will be a long series of 21 games played in a round-robin format, with 14 games at the Monumental and seven in Macuto, until the four teams that will advance to the semifinals are determined.
On February 12, the Monumental Stadium will be dressed to the nines for the decisive matches: the second-place team against the third-place team in the afternoon, and the leader against the fourth-place team in the evening, on a day where only those who can turn pressure into legend will survive.
The bronze medal will be decided on February 13 in Macuto, unless Venezuela is in contention, in which case the action will move to the Monumental Stadium. And there, under lights that promise eternity, the grand final will be played: only one team will lift the trophy and etch its name in the annals of continental baseball.
