Singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez ended his tour of Latin America with a concert in Cali, Colombia, on Sunday, November 2nd. Silvio took to the stages in five Latin American countries over the past several weeks.
His previous concert was also in Colombia last Friday, the 31st, in the city of Medellín, at the Polideportivo de Envigado Stadium, which was packed to capacity.
There, he captivated the audience, just as he had 15 years earlier in that same city, with iconic compositions such as “Canción del elegido” (Song of the Chosen One), “Historia de las sillas” (Story of the Chairs), “Ala de Colibrí” (Hummingbird Wing), “Sueño con Serpientes” (I Dream of Snakes), “Pequeña serenata diurna” (Little Daytime Serenade), “Unicornio” (Unicorn), “Te amaré” (I Will Love You), and “Ángel para un final” (Angel for an Ending), among others.
He also incorporated other iconic songs by his fellow countrymen, such as “Te perdono” (I Forgive You) by Noel Nicola, and “Yolanda” by Pablo Milanés.
With emotions running high, the audience joined in a massive chorus, especially when he performed “Ojalá” (Hopefully) and “El Necio” (The Fool), pieces that have become staples in his repertoire.
Rodríguez delighted an audience that responded with thunderous applause, deafening shouts, and cries of “Bravo!” throughout the performance. It was no surprise, then, that the Silvio’s farewell was inconceivable to his fans, who clamored for more songs at the end of the night.
The singer-songwriter’s Latin American tour officially began on September 19, 2025, with a concert in Havana, Cuba.
He then continued his tour in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, and Colombia, countries where he received overwhelming displays of affection and admiration.
