Havana, May 18 (RHC) - Two gold medals, an equal amount of silver, and a bronze rounded off the performance of the Antilleans in the Pan American Aquatics Championship of Medellin 2025, in which the quotas for the Junior Pan American Games of Asuncion 2025 were offered.

Carlos Daniel Ramos brilliantly ended the islander´s performance. He reigned in the individual platform event with a score of 448.30 units and, according to several members of the Cuban group, he received ovations in each of his executions.

Especially in the jump of three and a half turns on the inside in position C, whose scores were 8.5 and nine points. Although he bordered on excellence, he also achieved world-class marks and deserved more nines.

The other gold medal was won by Frank Abel Alvarez in the three-meter springboard, two second places were achieved in the synchronized platform events in both sexes, and the bronze was in the synchronized women's springboard.

The latter was performed in the pool of the César Zapata Aquatic Complex by Marta Castañeda and Cynthia Cortina, who were challenged by rivals with more experience and more difficult programs.

For Asunción 2025, there are still several weeks left, since the event is from August 9 to 23, and that time will be used to work on the difficulties detected now and perhaps try to complicate, as far as possible, some of the jumps included in the repertoire of the Cubans.
