Havana, Apr 29 (JIT) - Cuban Olympic champion in Paris 2024 Erislandy Alvarez will be the main attraction of a boxing event scheduled for Saturday, May 3, in Curacao.

The Tashkent 2023 world runner-up will face Brazilian Daniel Soares Ferreira, a 19-year-old youngster with little experience, over three rounds.

The fight is agreed at 63.5 kilos, with the star from Cienfuegos as big favorite, after less than a month of knocking out in Varadero the Dominican Brainer Vasquez for the Latin American continental belt of the World Boxing Association.

“We are honored to welcome Cuban boxer Erislandy Alvarez,” organizers posted on social networks as part of a promotional campaign with the star at the center of its visual conception.

National commissioner Robinson Poll, who will lead him from the corner, informed JIT that the departure of both is scheduled for May 1, as a function of familiarizing themselves with the venue and closing the work before the weigh-in requirements.
