Havana, May 13 (JIT) - On Tuesday, Cuban Liván Moinelo added his fourth victory of the campaign, in the 6x1 victory of SoftBank Hawks over Seibu Lions, in the Japanese Professional Baseball League.
At the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, the Pinareño left-hander worked seven solid innings, in which he allowed only one run and six hits.
Moinelo, who struck out five opponents and gave up two tickets in the game, improved his record to 4-0 and his effectiveness to 1.55, a figure that allowed him to move up to third place in that category in the Pacific League.
Meanwhile, Pinar del Río right-hander Raidel Martínez pitched a perfect inning of relief, but left without a decision in the 4x5 loss of the Yomiuri Giants against the Hiroshima Carp, in a game that extended to 12 innings.
Martinez pitched another ninth inning with no walks to maintain his 0.00 ERA in the Central League. He continues to be unbeatable with his deliveries close to 95 mph and so far has 12 saves.
