Havana, Jun 2 (RHC) - On Monday, Daniela Fonseca returned to the throne among women in the National Table Tennis Championship 2025, which closed with the leadership of Villa Clara as a province and the confirmation that in this discipline there is a sustained work from the base.
The left-handed player with two Olympic participations defeated Estela Crespo from Villa Clara in the final, while Karla Pérez from Havana and Rosalba Aguiar from Matanzas also won the bronze medals.
The latter had just celebrated the advance to the second round of the main draw in the recent world championship in Qatar, but now she met in the semifinals against Estela, who left her with the desire to dispute the crown.
Karla was defending the title she won a year ago, when Daniela did not participate due to strategies in her preparation for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
