Erislandy Álvarez
Havana, May 4 (RHC) Cuban Erislandy Alvarez (63.5 kg) defeated Brazilian Daniel Soares Ferreira 3-0 in a boxing event organized today in Curacao.
The Olympic champion in Paris 2024 and world runner-up in Tashkent 2023 thus coined an outcome in line with the predictions, given the difference in rank that separates him from the South American, barely 19 years old and lacking a record.
The decision comes less than a month after the Cuban star knocked out Dominican Brainer Vasquez in Varadero for the Latin American continental belt of the World Boxing Association.
The elite event of the island, which will have him among its attractions, is scheduled for next 13 to 18 in Camagüey.
