Chelsea Wins the Club World Cup

Havana, Jul 13 (RHC) - Chelsea thrashed Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final of the Club World Cup today.

A brace from Cole Palmer (22nd and 30th minutes) and another goal from Brazilian Joao Pedro (43rd minute) left an unexpected goal on the scoreboard on Sunday, and in the second half nothing more happened on the scoreboard.

The British side surprised PSG with a courageous start, high pressing and serious defensive work, quite the opposite of the Parisian eleven, which allowed Palmer to move too freely.

In almost identical fashion, the left-footed midfielder scored his two goals, to the right of the opposing goalkeeper, and also provided the assist for Joao Pedro.

PSG were aiming to join Germany's Bayern Munich and Spain's Barcelona as the only teams in the world capable of winning six titles in a single season, but they fell just short.
