Pyongyang, Apr 8 (RHC) The Secretary General of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping, sent the Secretary General of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Kim Jong Un, a cordial greeting in response to his congratulations after being elected president.
The Chinese head of State recalled that the WPK leader was one of the first personalities to congratulate him on that historic occasion for China.
Xi Jinping reaffirmed that he highly appreciates the ties between the two parties and countries, and expressed the will to promote the development of the socialist cause in both nations, as well as peace, stability, progress, and prosperity in the region.
The Chinese leader stressed his interest in intensifying the strategic leadership on the ties between China and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in a new scenario, in close cooperation with Kim Jong Un.
Chinese Ambassador in Pyongyang Wang Yajun conveyed the verbal message to the head of the International Department of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Song Nam, so that he could deliver it to the North Korean dignitary. (Source: PL)
