Foreign Minister of Cuba receives a special adviser to President Lula da Silva
Havana, Aug 16 (RHC) The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, held a fraternal meeting on Wednesday with Celso Amorím, head of the Special Advisory to the President of Brazil.
The foreign minister pointed out that during the dialogue they reaffirmed the will to strengthen bilateral relations and take advantage of existing potentialities.
According to Brazilian media, Amorím traveled to the Caribbean island in response to an express request from President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in the interest of strengthening ties between the two nations.
Last May, Cuba and Brazil ratified their desire to expand and strengthen inter-parliamentary ties during the visit to Havana of a delegation of legislators from the South American country.
On the occasion, both parties showed their willingness to contribute to the advancement of economic-commercial relations in areas of mutual interest such as biotechnology, vaccine and food production, tourism and energy. (Source: PL)
