Havana, July 16 (RHC) - Cuba's men's national team will face Bulgaria on Wednesday in a decisive match in Gdansk, Poland, during the third and final preliminary week of the Volleyball Nations League 2025 (VNL).
The Antilleans arrived at the venue this Monday, after a few days of training in Serbia, where they shared sessions with the Iranian team, and then in France, with a pair of matches against the local Olympic champions, double winners 3-1.
In Gdansk, both our team and the Bulgarians will be looking for a victory that will keep them with aspirations of being included among the eight teams that will discuss the podium from July 30 to August 3 in Ningbo, China.
Cuba is in ninth place with four wins and 13 points, while the Europeans have the same number of victories and 11 points, according to the official website of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
The pupils of Technical Director Jesus Cruz will have to face two big teams like Poland (17th) and France (18th), ranked second (6 V/18 P) and fifth (5/15), respectively.
After their break on the 19th, the Antilleans will close the phase on the 20th against China, which is ranked 15th with two wins and seven points.
