With the participation of Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC) and President of the Republic, an event in support of the Venezuelan cause against US interference in the region took place today in this capital.
Also present at the rally were members of the Political Bureau of the Party’s Central Committee, Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister, and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization, among other representatives of the country’s top leadership and the capital.
The event stands as an action condemning the United States military deployment in Caribbean waters, a clear threat to Venezuelan sovereignty, and at the same time urges the Latin American region not to lower its guard against the expansionist interests of US imperialism.
Held before delegates from different nations participating in the Third International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements, this event makes Cuba one of the epicenters of the struggle for justice for the people.
The rally took place front of the equestrian statue of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, located in Havana’s Vedado district.
