Cuba is showcasing its efforts to combat climate change at COP30, which is taking place until November 21 in Belém, Brazil.
This was highlighted today by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla in a message on X, where he announced the inauguration of Cuba’s pavilion at the event this Friday.
In this space, the Foreign Minister noted, the strength of the “Tarea Vida” (Task Life) State Plan and the political will to adapt to the effects of climate change are being demonstrated.
At the inauguration of the pavilion, the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), Armando Rodríguez, stated that it would be a place for meeting, dialogue, and the exchange of experiences.
CITMA noted that this space reflects the country’s commitment to climate action and international cooperation.
According to the agency, projects such as Mi Costa and AdaptaHabana, which involve communities in areas vulnerable to rising sea levels, have already been presented at the Cuban pavilion.
