Cuban Night of Professional Boxing Returns with an Attractive Lineup

Havana, November 29 (RHC) – The second edition of the Cuban Night of Professional Boxing will offer an attractive lineup today, featuring four fights for regional titles.

The main events will feature hosts Lázaro Álvarez and Erislandy Álvarez, who will defend their World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas titles against Mexicans Raúl Hernández and Rogelio Jiménez, respectively.

Meanwhile, Moroccan Moussa Gholam will defend his Continental Americas gold title against Argentinian Nicolás Nahuel Botelli in a 10-round bout, like the previous two.

In an eight-round contest, Cuban Yunier Sorsano will face fellow Argentinian Nicolás Verón for the Federlatin title in the 69.8 kg (140 lb) weight class.

There will be five other six-round fights, one of which will feature no Caribbean fighters: German Malek Semmo against Venezuelan Julio Pérez in the 72.5 kg (160 lb) weight class.

Meanwhile, the Antilleans Saidel Horta, Nelson Williams, Alejandro Claro and Keylor García will make their professional debuts, against the Dominicans Misael Vázquez and Jankelly Rodríguez, the Argentine Mauro Liendro and the Colombian Armando Fontalvo, in that order.
