These supplies will be sent to Jacksonville, Florida, and then shipped in a 40-foot container to the Port of Mariel in Cuba.

Los Angeles, California unions donated two thousand dollars, a promising contribution to the upcoming suture drive organized by GHP.

In a statement issued from Los Angeles, the Committee said: “We thank the Pan American Medical Association, Global Health Partners, Not Just Tourists, and LAHOC for making this important shipment possible.¨ The Committee added that their next container shipment is scheduled for April.

The “Labor and Youth Activists” delegation will also be delivering suitcases with supplies to the Calixto García Hospital for the May Day event.

The US Hands Off Cuba Committee pledged to focus their attention on the campaign to obtain U.S. visas for Cuban Olympic athletes.
