Havana, January 3 (RHC) – From a sector like sports, a symbol of peace and solidarity among peoples, we join in condemning the military aggression against Venezuela, an expression of the state terrorism practiced and encouraged by Yankee imperialism.
We reject this grave violation of International Law and the principles and purposes of the United Nations, carried out to plunder the natural resources, especially oil, of that sister nation.
We reiterate our support for its legitimate President, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the Venezuelan Popular, Military, and Police Force, and for the goal of making Latin America and the Caribbean a zone of peace.
We endorse the demand for proof of life for this individual and his immediate release, and we raise our voices in condemnation of governments, individuals, and organizations both within and outside the island.
With the strength that emerges from reason, let us say no to the macabre plan to impose regime change in favor of a puppet government aligned with the interests of the empire, and let us hold high the banners of unity, alongside a Bolivarian Revolution with full legal legitimacy and the right to defend itself.
