Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, emphasized on his Facebook profile that “this week, as April begins, the call to combative memory and to keep our history of struggle alive is reborn.”
The Cuban leader pointed out that in the current context of economic challenges and the tightening of the blockade, April takes on greater significance as it is considered the month of pioneers and young people, convinced that the defense of the homeland is also a generational task.
Morales Ojeda recalled that April is the month of the victory at Playa Girón, the first major defeat of imperialism in Latin America, an event that sealed the socialist character of the Revolution.
He emphasized that days of reaffirmation and patriotism, of intense work and the clash of ideas, are expected, in which unity will be decisive under any circumstances.
Once again, April will be a month of challenges overcome and of unity, the leader affirmed.
