Cubans from the state mission in China joined the “My Signature for the Homeland” / “Mi firm por la Patria” movement, while children commemorated the 65th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs victory with cultural activities.
The Military Attaché’s office at the embassy organized the “Girón, 65 Years of Victories” contest for children and teenagers.
Participants submitted drawings, models, and poems in homage to the event, and the activity emphasized the transmission of historical memory to new generations of Cubans.
Members of the state mission also joined the popular “My Signature for the Homeland” movement and endorsed the Revolutionary Government’s Declaration entitled “Girón is Today and Always.”
The signatories reiterated the Cuban people’s commitment to peace and their readiness to defend national sovereignty.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel initiated this movement last week with his signature as part of a campaign that seeks to mobilize national and international public opinion to reveal the truth about the Caribbean nation.
