Cuba’s Ministry of Communications denies fake news

Desmiente Ministerio de Comunicaciones restricción de tres horas diarias de internet en Cuba

The Cuban Ministry of Communications has denied a false report about limits on the island’s internet connectivity.

“It is completely false that there is a three-hour daily limit on mobile internet.  Services are functioning normally,” the ministry stated on its official Twitter account.

It also declared that Cuba continues to advance in its digital transformation with technological sovereignty.

These statements are in response to a false report circulating on social media that claims internet access will be restricted starting June 10 to “protect” the mental health and social equilibrium of the population.

The ministry urged the public to stay informed through official channels.
