Havana, September 7 (RHC) – The Cuban national soccer team that will participate in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile 2025 arrived in Uruguay early Sunday morning.
They will play friendly matches here in preparation and will also take advantage of an extended stay to adapt to the weather conditions, similar to those at the World Cup venue.
The temperature upon arrival at Carrasco Airport was 7 degrees Celsius, a stark contrast to the summer heat of the Caribbean, and acclimatization was planned accordingly.
Good spirits and discipline prevail among the athletes, who are aware of the responsibility that a tournament like the one they will participate in at the end of this month demands, and are approaching this period responsibly.
This Sunday, they will rest from the long journey from Havana, and starting Monday, the final stage of preparation for the event, which only 24 teams from around the world will attend, will begin.
