School supplies and medical materials from the Netherlands are bolstering health and education services in this eastern Cuban province following the arrival of 11 containers of humanitarian aid.
The donation, coordinated by the Dutch foundation Stichting Cuba Adelante, benefits institutions in the municipalities of Holguín, Banes, and Moa.
Lupe Isabel Fernández Ramírez, the local representative of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), expressed gratitude for the contribution and highlighted the ethical significance of this support for the island amidst the current socioeconomic situation.
Leaders of the solidarity organization witnessed the delivery of the resources during their visit — a gesture that reinforces international support for the island and helps mitigate the impact of the economic blockade against Cuba.
Since 2015, the Dutch foundation Stichting Cuba Adelante has promoted humanitarian cooperation projects aimed at social development in the eastern region of the Caribbean nation.
