In one of the halls of the Capitol Building, headquarters of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP), the book “Rubio, an Uncontrollable Mythomaniac,” by Hedelberto López Blanch, was presented. It was co-published by the Social Sciences imprint of the Nuevo Milenio Publishing Group and Resumen Latinoamericano. In addition to the author, journalist Graciela Ramírez, director of Resumen’s Cuba bureau, and Michel E. Torres Corona, director of the Nuevo Milenio Publishing Group, were present.
Graciela Ramírez spoke about the great value of this book and the need for its dissemination, also mentioning the various editions it has had in different countries and languages. Michel Torres Corona explained the editorial work, from the cover illustrated by graphic artist Ares to the editing by María de los Ángeles Navarro.
The author, Hedelberto López Blanch, mentioned some of the most “outstanding” characteristics of the “protagonist” of his work: lies as identity (even when falsifying his family history); his ties to drug trafficking and Miami corruption; and his nefarious obsession with destroying the Cuban Revolution.
The audience, comprised of deputies and officials from the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP), made comments and asked questions, and thanked Resumen Latinoamericano for the donation of copies.
Special mention goes to the words of Ana Mari Machado, vice president of the ANPP, who highlighted the title and its author as ideological tools for the defense of the Homeland.
The second edition of “Rubio, an Uncontrollable Mythomaniac,” along with its various versions and translations, contributes to the dissemination of knowledge about the main leaders of the reactionary movement—a vital aspect for confronting them in any arena. The warm reception received at the Assembly’s beautiful venue only confirms this.
