by Ed Newman

Cuba presented its main business and investment opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago during the ICT Fair 2026, a regional event that brings together technology companies and innovative projects.

According to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cuban delegation showcased the country’s potential in strategic sectors such as telecommunications, software, renewable energy and digital services, with an emphasis on regional cooperation and attracting foreign investment.

According to the source, participation in the fair aims to strengthen ties with the Caribbean and position Cuba as a reliable partner in innovation and digital transformation projects.

Recently, new regulations for foreign investment in Cuba were perfected with Decree 153, which modifies Decree 325 containing the Regulations of the Foreign Investment Law, already published in the Official Gazette of the Republic with the purpose of streamlining and improving the processes related to the arrival of foreign capital to the country.
