Cuban foreign minister denounces protection of real terrorists in the U.S.

by Ed Newman

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, denounced on his Facebook profile the protection afforded by the United States to individuals linked to terrorist acts against the Caribbean nation.

The head of Cuban diplomacy pointed out that the U.S. Secretary of State organized a ministerial meeting against so-called “leftist terrorism,” while ignoring the presence on U.S. soil of those who finance, instigate, and train violent actions against Cuba, primarily in the state of Florida.

Bruno Rodríguez recalled that these groups have murdered 3,478 Cubans and left 2,099 disabled, in addition to organizing more than 600 assassination attempts against the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, even with the participation of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

The Cuban foreign minister questioned the lack of action by the U.S. government to dismantle the terrorist networks based on its territory, despite the information shared by Cuba with U.S. law enforcement agencies.

“It would be good if the Secretary of State, who now presents himself as a counterterrorism fighter, would answer why neither he nor his government are taking any action to dismantle the terrorist networks organized in his country, about which Cuba has shared all the necessary information with U.S. law enforcement agencies.”

In his statement, the foreign minister questioned how a terrorist cell, equipped with weapons of war and explosives, could have trained and departed for Cuba just a few months prior with complete impunity.

“Who are the real terrorists?” Bruno Rodríguez concluded in his statement, exposing the double standards and fallacies of the current administration and its Secretary of State.
