Havana, September 30 (RHC) – Manchester City’s board rejected the 115 charges brought against the team for serious breaches of English football league financial regulations.
“The Club is innocent of the accusations made by the Premier League, and there is a vast body of irrefutable evidence supporting its position in this case. Therefore, the Club will be relentless and, where necessary, proactive in all relevant regulatory and legal forums,” it stated in a release.
It also expressed its disappointment and surprise at the Premier League Commission’s verdict and now has until October 2 to exercise its right of appeal.
“The Premier League process is ongoing, with significant aspects yet to be concluded. Manchester City FC will now pursue all legal avenues available to it, given that the opinion contains manifest material errors—of law, principle, and fact—and is flawed,” the statement added.
Throughout the eight-year period, the Club has diligently respected due process, proceeding on the understanding that the Premier League’s Board and Executive Committee would act as an independent, impartial, and fair regulatory body, free from partisan influence.
