The position of Cuban youth is firm in the defense of the Homeland, affirmed Meybis Estévez Echeverría, First Secretary of the organization, on her Facebook profile.
Statement from the Union of Young Communists of Cuba:
“Resisting the onslaught of daily invasions is the epic we are writing today, the best legacy to the fallen… As long as there is one woman and one man willing to give their life for the Revolution, we will be victorious!”
This resounding conviction, expressed by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, is the firm commitment of the younger generations of Cubans, fully prepared, without hesitation, to offer even our own lives for the Cuban Revolution.
From our communities, workplaces, schools, and digital spaces, we will continue to defend the truth and build a more just, compassionate, prosperous, and sustainable society, with everyone and for the good of all.
We, the young Cubans, guided by the legacy of our Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, will never yield nor allow our Rebel Island to serve the hegemonic interests of the United States.
The greatest failure of imperialist policy is that, more than 60 years later, our Revolution is still standing and that there are young people in Cuba and around the world willing to give their lives to safeguard it.
Inspired by the example of our Commander-in-Chief, in the Year of his Centennial, we, the young Cubans, are on the right side of history. We will continue here building our nation, with the conviction, as our First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC) stated, that Fidel embodies the belief that a united people can defeat an empire!
