Various solidarity organizations are calling for a rally in Paris under the slogan “Stop the Blockade,” denouncing the United States’ policy toward Cuba. The event will take place on Saturday, April 11th at 2:30 p.m. in Place Jacques Rueff.
The poster for the rally denounces US imperialism and its threats of military intervention against the island, demanding an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade that has affected the Cuban population for more than six decades.
Among the organizing groups are youth, labor, and solidarity groups with Cuba in France, which are calling for mobilization to highlight international rejection of this policy and demand respect for the sovereignty of the Cuban people.
The rally is part of a growing agenda of mobilizations in Europe in support of Cuba and against unilateral US sanctions.
