While the regime has imposed a sweeping ban on publication of photos or videos of Iranian missiles, some images surfaced on social media showing direct and powerful impacts.
Tehran, June 19 (RHC)-- Iranian armed forces on Wednesday evening launched the new phase of Operation True Promise III by unleashing a barrage of missiles, including those being used for the first time, at the occupied territories.
The latest wave of the retaliatory operation, which began Wednesday afternoon in response to the Israeli regime’s brutal aggression against the Islamic Republic, came barely hours after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a message.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian nation will “firmly stand" against an imposed war and will never surrender to “any form of imposition.”
Images shared on social media showed missiles fired from different parts of Iran moving in an unusual manner in night sky and evading the multi-tier Israeli air defense systems.
While the regime has imposed a sweeping ban on publication of photos or videos of Iranian missiles, some images surfaced on social media showing direct and powerful impacts.
Several of the missiles, some of them belonging to the new-generation stock, struck their targets with precision, including military and intelligence sites belonging to the regime.
Israeli media reported air raid sirens in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Netanya and Hashfula, prompting panic-stricken settlers to hide in underground shelters again.
In the past two days, Iranian armed forces have employed different innovative tactics to evade the much-hyped American-assisted Israeli missile interceptors with great success.
A report in the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth on Tuesday said the latest waves of the Iranian retaliatory operation have been "unusual," catching the regime off-guard. In a statement after the latest wave of the operation, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that they used two-stage, super-heavy ballistic missile Sejjil in it.
IRGC also informed settlers in the occupied territories that Israeli air defenses have depleted in the recent days due to a series of successful Iranian retaliatory strikes, and now the skies over the occupied land of Palestine are completely controlled by Iranian missiles and drones.
It also reminded them of Tuesday's operation in which the Israeli military intelligence center affiliated with Mossad, Aman, and a base of Israeli fighter jets were both destroyed, recalling what IRGC chief said earlier this week that the gates of hell will open for the Zionists.
The statement further warned the settlers that they must chose between slow death inside the underground bunkers or return to the countries from where their ancestors came.
The retaliatory missile barrage on Wednesday is part of the twelfth phase of Operation True Promise III, which was launched late on Friday in response to the unprovoked Israeli aggression, which led to the assassination of many high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, including children and women.
Major General Sayyid Abdolrahim Mousavi, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, in a televised message on Tuesday, said the operations carried out so far since Friday have served as a deterrent warning, and the actual punitive operations will be executed soon.
“The great nation of Iran, as history shows, has never bowed to any aggression, and, while standing firm against this savage act, will make the Zionist regime pay for its crimes, God willing,” he announced, in a sign that Iran is going to scale up its retaliation.
