'We are facing another period of coming together', said Roberto Morales Ojeda, a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organisation of the Central Committee of the Party. He also denounced the numerous media manipulations and opportunistic distortions that our adversaries have tried to impose throughout these years of Revolution. Their objective has always been clear: to sow chaos, promote violence, and disrupt the peace of our homeland”.

On his social media profiles, Morales Ojeda stressed that 'Today, as on so many other occasions, they are trying again, even taking advantage of the legitimate concerns of our people in the face of necessary measures, such as those recently announced by Etecsa'.

He also warned of the dangers of the media war against the Greater Antilles. At times like these, there is no room for naivety. The media war is not a game; it is a weapon of destabilisation directed not only against our political system, but also against the real needs of our people and the bonds that unite us as a society. Fake news does not seek to inform, but to confuse. It does not seek to debate, but to divide”, he stressed.

He also reiterated that subversive campaigns and actions aimed at destroying the Revolution were increasing, taking advantage of the complex scenario faced by the country.

'Once again, Cuba is facing an aggressive imperial policy that seeks to subdue us through lies and economic pressure. However, our history has taught us that unity is the invincible response to such attacks. It is a conscious, critical and revolutionary unity that cannot be deceived; a unity that defends the truth and trusts in the capacity of its people to resist and win,” he concluded.

It is this same unity that will prevent the incitements to violence, contempt and rupture with institutions from taking hold among young Cuban university students. Although, as usual, enemies have taken advantage of legitimate concerns and natural dissent in society to call for disorder and overshadow the value of spaces for dialogue, collective analysis, and listening to multiple voices, the maturity of this people, and above all its youth, who are organised in groups such as the Federation of University Students (FEU), has ensured that unfounded chaos is prevented.
