Havana, April 25 (RHC) The Cuban Embassy took part in the Latin American Day of the Azerbaijan Business Networking Forum, as reported by Carlos Valdés, head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Baku.
According to Valdés, the forum was attended by representatives of Latin American embassies accredited in that nation, as well as Azerbaijani businesspeople from various industries and sectors.
In his speech, he emphasized the significance of foreign investment for the economic and social advancement of the Caribbean island until 2030.
In this regard, he pointed out that the portfolio of business prospects in Cuba includes 607 investment projects, spread across all regions of the nation.
These projects cover a wide range of sectors, including food production, energy, tourism, sugar farming and its related industries, transportation and logistics, efficient trade, construction, culture, telecommunications and IT, the pharmaceutical industry, and biotechnology.
The Cuban diplomat conveyed his country’s interest in collaborating to boost the involvement of Azerbaijani businesspeople in crucial projects in sectors like renewable energy, food, and tourism.
He also highlighted the importance of the Chambers of Commerce's involvement, based on the existing legal framework and the desire to foster business relations with Azerbaijani entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, Valdés extended an invitation to all those in attendance to join the Havana International Fair, which will take place from November 24 to 29 this year. (Source: Prensa Latina)
