Nico Williams
Havana, Jul 2 (RHC) - When it seemed only a matter of time before the signing of Nico Williams by Barcelona was consummated, Bayern Munich entered fully into the battle for the player's signature.
According to Sky Germany, the Bavarian club presented a second salary offer to the player and broke the bank: they would pay 12 million euros net per season and the termination clause to Athletic Club de Bilbao, to bring Williams to German soccer.
The youngest of the Williams brothers was waiting for Barcelona, with whom he had reached a verbal agreement days before, however, the financial situation of the Catalan club prevented the immediate signing.
It is worth remembering that, in order to leave Athletic Club, Nico Williams will have to pay the termination clause, amounting to about 62 million euros.
With Bayern now fully on the scene, Barcelona's reaction should be instantaneous to secure the signing of its main target in the summer transfer market.
